Carlotta Novella

Carlotta is a final year student of MA Architecture Cities and Innovation at CSM.
Her thesis project focuses with a critical prospective on the role of the maker and the making space in the city and investigates the manufactural potential of the domestic space within an high density typology of urban settlement, the housing estate in London.
Her project aims to define the ethics and the values behind the home-based making and how this typology of production space could be improved and facilitated on the scale of the house and the neighbourhood through the introduction of the Filò practice, an historic but rather contemporary form of collective making.
