Martin Dittus


Martin Dittus is a trustee of the London Hackspace, a community-run and non-profit workshop space in East London, with 900 members and growing. He was one of the initiators of Hack the Barbican, where for a month in 2013 a large number of participants across disciplines took over the foyer spaces of London's Barbican Centre. In 2012 he was one of the organisers of the Electromagnetic Field hacker camping festival, and previously he spent several months with Occupy London where he was involved in the coordination of this large and distributed community. Martin now researches data-gathering communities at the ICRI Cities at UCL, with a current focus on the informal processes of knowledge production on OpenStreetMap.
